Ocupy Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Ocupy mobile app and its related services (the "Service"). By downloading the app or creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Ocupy is a location-based fitness game that records your running and walking routes, marks the area inside a closed route as your "territory" on the map, and lets you compete with other players. Features of the Service may be added, changed or removed over time.
2. Account and age
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service; if you are under 18 you confirm that you have your parent's or guardian's consent.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for all activity that takes place on your account. Do not share your password.
- An account belongs to one person; selling or transferring accounts is prohibited.
3. Safety comes first
Ocupy is played outdoors, in the real world. Pay attention to your surroundings while running: obey traffic rules, do not run while looking at your screen, do not enter private property, and act according to the weather and your own health. The game never comes before your safety; a risky route should not be chosen because it "wins territory". Consult your doctor before starting physical activity if needed. Ocupy cannot be held liable for harm you may cause to yourself or to third parties while using the Service.
4. Fair play
The following are strictly prohibited and, if detected, result in deletion of territory/statistics and temporary or permanent account closure:
- Mock GPS apps, location simulation, or any tool that alters GPS data,
- Recording distance covered by vehicle (car, motorcycle, e-scooter, etc.) as a run or walk,
- Sending requests to the Service's API from outside the app, bots, automation, reverse engineering,
- Any abuse that deliberately spoils other players' experience.
5. Content rules
Your activity photos, club names/photos, chat messages and other posts belong to you; however, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display them within the Service. Posts containing the following are prohibited: unlawful content, hate speech, harassment, nudity, violence, other people's personal data, spam and advertising. Content that breaks these rules may be removed and account penalties may apply. You can report inappropriate content from inside the app or to ocupyapp@gmail.com. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours.
6. Territories and game data
Territories, levels, XP and similar in-game values do not represent real ownership or monetary value; by the nature of the game they can be taken by other players, and may be changed or reset by us for balancing purposes.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, graphics, characters and the Ocupy brand belong to us. Map data belongs to OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) and map tiles are served through OpenFreeMap; both are subject to their own licences.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. By the nature of GPS technology there may be deviations in route and area measurements. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or by email (see the Privacy Policy, "Account deletion"). We reserve the right to suspend or close your account if these terms are breached.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page and significant changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye; the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Anatolia) have jurisdiction over disputes. Mandatory legal protections relating to your consumer rights are reserved.
